If you’ve been following our updates, you’re likely aware of our close partnership with Afternic. We’ve seamlessly integrated with Afternic's vast distribution network, creating additional sales opportunities through their network of over 100 global resellers.
We've also been supporting Afternic behind the scenes, rolling out impressive new features driven by Dan.com innovations, such as Lease to Own, Custom Checkout Link, Custom Lander, and Ownership Verification. More recently, this includes invoicing and Make Offer, with much more to come.
Managing two separate marketplaces limits our innovation. Merging Dan.com with Afternic lets us create a strong unified marketplace for domain sales.
This consolidation means we can focus on one platform, speeding up the process of selling more domains for you!
Merging Dan.com with Afternic is a process that we’ll be starting soon. To prepare for that, we’re closing Dan.com for any new account sign ups.
We'll soon kick off a four-week period to let you choose your migration path. Although this will include an opt-out option, we’re confident that this integration will bring enhanced features and benefits for all users.
At the start of the migration period, we'll also launch a Migration Center for Dan.com domain sellers. This platform will let you control the migration of your Dan.com account and listings to Afternic. These will be your options:
- Self-migration: looking for more control over your migration? The self-migration path lets you handle your migration to Afternic, allowing you to begin using the best of Afternic straight away.
- Auto-migration: select this option, and we’ll automatically handle your migration after the migration period ends.
- Opt-out: we’re confident that you’ll love Afternic, but you can opt out of migrating if you wish. However, after the migration period ends, your listings will be deleted, with no more sales occurring through Dan.com.
Every step of the way, the Migration Center will keep you informed about our progress. We’ll share more details about the Migration Center very soon.
